Farming is a hazardous industry. Farmers work with potentially dangerous machinery, vehicles, chemicals, livestock, at height or near pits and silos. In addition, they are exposed to the effects of bad weather, noise and dust. As a result of these risks an average of 12,000 farmers sustain non-fatal injuries each year.
Family members working at the farm and children living at the farm are also at risk of injury.
How amazing would it be if everyone knew basic first aid and had the confidence to step forward and help when needed?
With that in mind we regularly offer First Aid training at The Livestock Partnership. Our next Emergency First Aid at Work (valid for 3 years) course is taking place on Monday 18th November 2024 at a cost of £90+vat per person. The course mixes theory, practice and assessment and is delivered by a Qualified and experienced trainer, at the end of which you will have the skills and knowledge to provide initial treatment to casualties in the workplace in a prompt, safe and effective manner.
