Rachel McMaster
Rachel recently moved to West Sussex from Surrey where she was working on a beef and arable farm. Rachel started a small flock of commercial sheep in 2012 and reared lambs to be sold butchered in boxes.
In 2017 Rachel stumbled across the Blue Texel breed, the addiction took hold and she never looked back. Rachel has worked hard to improve her flock by selecting the best genetics available and using Embryo Transfer to get a good uniform flock. One of Rachel’s proudest achievements was getting Interbreed Champion at Kent County Show with a homebred ewe called Chilli in 2019, and during the 2023 show season, picking up champion at every show she attended.
Rachel enjoys showing her sheep, exploring the countryside with her Collie, Gyp, and she has started to bake more in her free time.
Rachel has already met some of our cattle clients during her training, and is looking forward to meeting more of our clients now she is fully qualified.
